Win tickets to the Ultimate MC battle in Calgary

Ultimate MC is in search of Canada’s next great spitter.

Documented for national television, the next Ultimate MC event will take place this Saturday night in Calgary, where eight local rappers will battle to earn the right to participate in the finale.

Two winners from each battle event are selected by a panel of celebrity judges to move on to the finals in Toronto in September 2011. Up for grabs is a $5000 cash prize and a record deal with Canada’s hottest independent record label – CP Records, whose artist line-up includes Belly, Danny Fernandes, JRDN, Mia Martina, Massari and Ivana Santilli.

Among the guest judges in attendance on the night will be an ultimate MC in his own right, rapper Planet Asia, who just so happens to be making a guest appearance on this week’s RapCity.

Ultimate MC has given MuchMusic and RapCity 12 pairs of tickets to attend this Saturday’s battle at the Gateway Restaurant & Bar in Calgary.
