Wolfgang Gartner talks DJ’s, Will.i.Am. and Jersey Shore

There’s been an undeniable resurgence of dance and electro music in the mainstream and we sat down with one of the men responsible for this shift in tastes. American DJ Wolfgang Garnter has remixed songs for everyone from Britney Spears to John Legend and has most worked with Producer Ryan McNamara on his video for Illmerica that redefines storytelling in music videos.

Forever, his most recent collaboration with Will.I.Am., dropped last week and is an exciting sneak peek of what’s to come in Gartner’s upcoming album, hitting airwaves in June. We chatted with Wolfgang during the Toronto stop of his tour and found of what he’s listening to, how he chose his name and what exactly defines a ‘DJ’. Check out the interview after the jump!
