Lady Gaga and Beyonce are two of the most powerful women in the world. Take that in – in the world! Forbes Magazine – one of the world’s most popular business magazines –created its list of The World’s Most Power Women and the two landed in seventh and ninth place, respectively.
First Lady Michelle Obama got the top spot followed by Irene Rosenfeld (Kraft Foods CEO) and media mogul Oprah Winfrey.
It was the OMG! fashion choices (and of course her music and cultural influence) that landed Lady Gaga at number seven. Forbes also noted her vocal support of gay rights as a big deal too.
Beyonce’s media empire landed her at number nine with ventures in movies, albums, awards, modeling/fashion contracts and the fact both Michelle Obama and the U.S. women’s hockey team jam to her songs.
Forbes picked its list based on women who put “an emphasis on creative influence and entrepreneurship”.
Other notable names on the list are: Madonna (29th), 2010 MTV VMA host Chelsea Handler (33th) and Twilight’s Stephenie Meyer (49th).
