Wu-Tang Was on The Daily Show. Yup.

August 7th, 2014

If you tuned in to The Daily Show last night to watch Jon Stewart interview that latest person to write a Winston Churchill biography or a tea party candidate from Arkansas, you did not get what you came for. But perhaps you were delighted anyway. Yes. All nine living members of Wu-Tang Clan got together on The Daily Show. It was great.

They barely all fit behimd Jon’s desk. Maybe they put in a sleeve like your mom does for guests at Thanksgiving. Anyway. They talked about overcoming group politics for the good of the Clan and presented Jon with an ODB t-shit he said he would wear to bed.

Although The Daily Show doesn’t have nightly musical guests like other late night shows, the have hosted performers like The White Stripes, Arcade Fire and Wu-Tang member RZA who was on the show to promote his book but didn’t perform.

After the interview the guys then performed two songs including the brand new Ron O’Neal off of their reunion album A Better Tomorrow (FYI Ron O’Neal was an actor who was most popular for his movies in the 1970s. He played a coke dealer Youngblood Priest in Super Fly).

Check out the performance of that new track below and watch the whole episode here.
