Hey gamers…
Yesterday was the big Microsoft XBOX360 press conference at E3 and boy were there some incredible announcements!

Halo 3 ODST
This is a ‘prequel’ to Halo 3 focusing on the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs!) Should be the same Halo shootin’ action that you’re used to but with some new slick weaponry to improve the experience.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
This looks like it’s going to be game of the year. I still can’t find Call of Duty Modern Warfare used for less than 55 bucks! It was an absolute perfect first player shooter and this snow covered action packed sequel does not look like it will disappoint.

Rock Band The Beatles
The Beatles have been the longest holdouts in entering the digital age. This is going to be their triumphant introduction to the modern age. The footage and screens from this game look like the same attention to detail was undertaken here as their magical Cirque De Soliel show.

Tony Hawk: RIDE
The first Tony Hawk game to use a peripheral skateboard is coming out soon. This looks like another great title in the Tony Hawk arsenal although I can’t picture doing kick flips and ollies in my living room.

Bioshock 2
The first Bioshock was a sleeper hit. Around here we refer to it as “the Watchmen of video games”. If that reference makes any sense to you, you’ve got to pick this game up. The storyline is one of the best narratives in video games ever and will be a classic.
Canadian games
Did you know that a lot of the massive games coming out this year are being developed in Canada? Check this list of homegrown titles:
Assassin’s Creed 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage, Avatar, Academy of Champions, Battle of Giants: Dragons, Need for Speed: Nitro, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, Star Wars the Old Republic, EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis, EA Sports Active, Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, NBA Live 2009, EA Sports FIFA

The last announcement was saved for a new technology called Project Nutal. This is going to be a camera/3D sensor that will let you interact with games like the Nintendo Wii but with more than just having to flail around a remote control. This thing will see your whole body and react to it.
What do you think? Do you see yourself playing a game that makes you get up off your couch?
