Yep, Justin Bieber’s stolen gear was a prank – but here’s a new music video!

As we suspected earlier today, the controversy behind Justin Bieber’s recently stolen gear was starting to sound suspicious. With Tweets from both Bieber and rapper Nicki Minaj about a “big surprise” coming soon, we were starting to think that this whole scandal was just a PR stunt to promote the new video for their collaboration on the new single, Beauty and the Beat – and we were right!

Below is the new video, which was posted online at noon – the time that the fake thief on Twitter said he/she would release something of Bieber’s.

Shot and directed by Bieber himself, the new video follows the singer around as he throws some sort of pool party at a water park. Of course, Minaj joins in mid-song in a baby pink dress complete with a furry pink top. Definitely not pool-friendly.
