I have a confession to make: I secretly love Paris Hilton’s music.
WIPE YOUR JAW OFF THE FLOOR.
Yes, I love her music. I don’t know what it is (maybe it was all the Paris Hilton perfume bottles I snuck sprays from at Shoppers Drug Mart) but Paris’ album Paris was (dare I say it on the internet) good. Money can’t buy talent but it sure can get a damn good producer. The album was heavily produced by 2006′s hottest producer Scott Storch as well as Katy Perry and Ke$ha producer Dr. Luke. Throw in a few amazing appearances by Jadakiss and Joe Budden, the album had traction. At least, if you didn’t know Paris was “singing”, you might be fooled into thinking the album was by the next up and comer. Take a listen to my favourite track, Fighting Over Me here.

Needless to say, the album sold (as of 2001) almost 200,000 copies. That’s nothing to sneeze at, especially considering iTunes wasn’t what it was back in that time (was Napster still a thing back then? I can’t be sure).
Now Paris is at it again except this time she has enlisted the help of Lil Wayne and his crew for her new sound (and she’s been signed onto Cash Money Records). In fact, Paris has released a teaser for Good Time, her track featuring Lil Wayne. Watch it here.
Okay. So now that I’ve admitted my biggest secret and my justifications for it, will you just let Paris make her dumb but good music and dance anyway? Now leave me alone. I gotta go eat something to take my mind off this.
And because it’s kinda actually cute, here’s a video of Ellen and Paris hanging out (because they’re BFFs).Tweet
