Yo La Tengo “I’ll Be Around” (Video)

There are so many levels to Yo La Tengo’s new video for “I’ll Be Around” that I don’t know where to begin. Here is what it is: a short story, a recipe for spicy tortilla soup, a pastoral glimpse of Superchunk’s Mac McCaughan singing along to the song, a cooking show with members of YLT preparing dinner, and a crime drama that stars bassist James McNew as some kind of perp.

It might seem slow and uneventful at first, but stick around and it really pays off.
