August 30th, 2014
In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, we’ve been looking back at some incredible footage and reliving iconic moments from years past. Meanwhile, our in-house designers Tara Paquette and Ameesha Earnshaw have been hard at work, putting their creative spin on the portraits you see below.
Designer Tara Paquette describes the inspiration behind the artwork:
30 years of musical and cultural history has been distilled into these portraits of iconic artists and moments which define the passing of time. Just as memories serve as a snapshot into our past, these posters are meant to capture the energy of their subject. A keepsake in its most familiar form, we idolize and celebrate the act of being a fan, of observing and making our own the appreciation of music and cultural events. Every artist and event is unique, and yet so many of us, regardless of differences, share that experience. These posters are an expression of that joy, and a reflection of the moments that mattered most to those who put them on display. Youth might fade, but through these keepsakes we relive our past. These posters transport us into a memory that makes us feel #ForeverYoung. That is the essence of Much, and we did our best to celebrate those proud moments in a way that can continue to bring us back to our favourite experiences, forever.
