Youth Lagoon “Goodbye Again” (John Denver Cover) (MP3)

Trevor Powers’ project, Youth Lagoon, made a pretty big wave in music this year after releasing his debut album, The Year of Hibernation. He recently stopped by Sirius XMU, an indie rock satellite radio sation, to perform a short set. Among the songs he played, Powers covered John Denvers’”Goodbye Again.” He stayed true to the original but modernized it by replacing the sweeping orchestrals with keyboard and guitar. If you’re not familiar with the original song, I think “Goodbye Again” could be easily mistaken for a Youth Lagoon original.
