Zayn Malik’s ex-girlfriend thinks he was forced to say their relationship was a mistake. The One Direction heartthrob recently spoke out about his fling with mother of two Rebecca Ferguson, who he met when they both competed on The X Factor. Rebecca was unhappy with his comments although she refuses to blame him. Ferguson told New! magazine, “I was so shocked by what he said!” Rebecca continued, “I’m not going to retaliate. All I will say is that there have been a lot of things said and he knows so far that I’ve stayed classy and quiet and bitten my lip.” Ferguson further commented, “I’m not one to reveal big secrets about what’s gone on in a relationship, and I think he was probably put up to this. I know him too well to think he’d say it deliberately.”

Nineteen year old Zayn is now dating Perrie Edwards from Little Mix and recently insisted his relationship with Rebecca, who is twenty-six years old, should never have happened. Zayn explained, “It was a wrong idea from the start. It shouldn’t have happened. I think it was a wrong decision to make at such a young age.” Zayn continued, “Then it did end badly so we don’t talk any more.”
